About Me

Hi Hi! I'm Lindsay Woods (she/her) and I'm always keen to figure shit out with words.  Writing out of Oakville, Ontario on the traditional territories of the Anishinabe to the Atawandaron, the Haudenosaunee, Metis People, Mississaugas and Mississaugas of the Credit.  My work explores all of our abilities to connect with our deepest selves to help the world heal from our insides out.  I demonstrate this through written word, short and long form essays about figuring out life as a human with hopes of peace and liberation for all.

I stand for creativity, truth, love, getting weird, liberation and feeling ALL the feelings and the art that moves us towards that goal in whatever form that takes overtime for each of us.  I believe that writing, both well and poorly, allows us to unearth both who we are and who we were meant to be both inside ourselves and out in the world.  I produce work mainly for myself but also in the hopes that other women who are stuck under the weight of the world’s expectations of them will see the way to freedom both creatively and in their daily lives.

I accomplish this by writing and sharing all the hard and beautiful things from a place of hope and desire for healing.  I draw inspiration from loss, waves of grief, healing, sunrises, moon phases, parenting, partnering, friendship and the magical mess that is a human life.  I dream of a world where ALL people but mainly women don’t have to wait to be free of the weight of the systems that prevent us from living our truth out loud in the sunshine.
