another summer comes to a close

it's not fall yet and summer isn't technically over but the masses of children go back to school tomorrow (not ours yet thank the baby jesus, but it will be next year...blerg) and that means that summer as we know it is finished. the weather is nippier, the leaves are threatening to change and i have this bubbling sense of purpose in the house and at work that only autumn brings. henry is teething and today is labour day so there will be lots of labour from the mumma today trying to help him keep it together. off for a walk in the hopes of calming the little one down...bye bye summer.
